Facing future events with courage....Will Mark compromise?

Mark was facing serious pressure at work compromising his neutrality. He is asked to join a protest at his employment that is facing cutbacks and layoffs. Mark will not join the protest or sign the sheet. He might be one of the first to lose his job if he doesn't sign the sheet. Mark stays neutral and loyal to Jehovah. He doesn't sign the sheet. Occording to the Elders in his congregation, he is facing future events with courage.

But according to the WTBTS, you can write and sign letters to the Russian government. It will show your support for the whole association of brotherhood.

On Tuesday, March 21, 2017, the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses invited the worldwide brotherhood to write letters of appeal to governmental authorities at the highest level who were threatening to ban our activities throughout the Russian Federation. While it cannot be determined exactly how many of the letters reached the Russian authorities, several who wrote received formal letters of acknowledgment. Though the Russian government chose not to heed the respectful appeals and has misused its authority to attack the worship of our brothers, the campaign was a stirring display of the global unity of Jehovah’s organization. It was also successful in sending the message to our fellow worshippers in Russia that the whole association of brothers is ready to provide support.—1 Peter 2:17.

Illinois Attorney General Sues Suburban Express For Alleged Discrimination, Harassment

Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan has announced a lawsuit against the private bus company Suburban Express for alleged human rights violations.

Madigan’s civil rights bureau had been investigating the company for possible violations of the Illinois Human Rights Act after an email was sent to customers in December saying they would find “passengers like you. You won’t feel like you’re in China when you’re on our buses.”

She said she found years of discriminatory practices, including findings that owner Dennis Toeppin relentlessly harassed customers involved in disputes and posted personal financial information of those who negatively reviewed his company.

“This is not a one-off," Madigan said. "This is a serious history—years long—of continued, repeated violations of our civil rights laws and our consumer protection laws.”

While true, You can't, nor should you, discriminate, and refuse to sell products you carry to someone based on their skin color or sexual orientation, you can, and you should be able to refuse to sell an item because you choose not to.

Just because you are a privately-owned company, DOESN'T mean you can violate civil rights laws and consumer protection laws because the business doesn't need to answer to anyone. ''Take your business somewhere else'' solution and harassing customers is a discriminatory practice.

Oh, here we come, again! Another person who is so religious and moral deciding who should have a ''right''get a marriage license. She refuses to issue a marriage license to gay couples(even though its legal in Kentucky) because of "God's authority.''

With her strong religious faith ( cough, cough), she forgets that she's been married four times and she should have been issued only one marriage license herself. What upstanding moral and religious code this woman has that she decides what "rights" she gets but what "rights" others get taken away. She has a right to marry 4 times without her rights to remarry taken away but somehow, she is on God's side against gay couples right to marry.

The Kentucky county clerk who refuses to issue marriage licenses to gay couples has been married four times herself.

Invoking “God’s authority,” Kim Davis denied marriage licenses to gay couples again Tuesday in direct defiance of the federal courts and vowed not to resign, even under the pressure of steep fines or jail.

But it's his right to choose what he sells and what he doesn't.

A moral and religious pharmacist should than object to filling other types of prescriptions for many reasons. A pharmacist who opposes assisted suicide may not want to fill a morphine prescription for a patient who has a painful terminal illness and wish to end his life.

A moral and religious pharmacist should than object to filling vicodin and other painkillers, sleeping pills, erectile dysfunction pills, antidepressants, and many other drugs.

At what point do moral and religious views become a violation of human rights?

Does a pharmacist have a right to fill a blood pressure prescription and not a birth control prescription because they find it morally and religiously objectionable? Pharmacists are employed to dispense drugs to patients, not become a moral standard bearer. What does it matter to them if I purchase condoms, hemorrhoid cream or stool softener?

I live in the state of Illinois and see this sign taped by the pharmacy drive-thru window....Please call this # if the pharmacist refuses to fill any birth control prescription.

Pharmacists Refusing to Fill Spark National Controversy

Only 8 states (California, Illinois, Nevada, Maine, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and Wisconsin) have laws explicitly prohibiting medication refusals. Six states (Arizona, Arkansas, Georgia, Idaho, Mississippi, and South Dakota) have laws that specifically allow pharmacists to refuse to provide medications for religious or moral reasons.

None of the laws in the 6 states that allow medication refusals include provisions requiring pharmacists to refer patients or transfer prescriptions to another pharmacy.

Pharmacy industry associations such as the American Pharmacists Association have issued policies stating that pharmacists should fill all valid prescriptions or transfer them to a pharmacist who can, according to the NWLC. Although these policies encourage pharmacists to check their personal beliefs at the door, the policies are not legally binding and are nothing more than recommendations.

Many major pharmacy chains also have policies in place that prohibit pharmacists from refusing to fill prescriptions for birth control, but some stores have “refuse and refer” policies. Like other retail store policies, a pharmacist’s failure to comply could result in discipline or, at worst, termination.

Birth control access advocates are urging supporters to petition their legislators and state pharmacy boards to pass laws that prohibit medication refusals. Pharmacists’ rights advocates, however, say that they should not be required to dispense drugs that they find morally or religiously objectionable.

Very similar to time share presentations, a repeat of same old benefits to newly recruited buyers who are unaware of prior gullible individuals who paid way too much for something they could get on e bay for $1. They are successful only because there is a constant flow of uneducated buyers .

The only reason I called th young man a fool was just like Betheliesalot wonderfully worded: another newly recruited and gullible Witness who doesn't realize that this JW Public talk has been given hundreds of times throughout its 140 year period. Just like a timeshare that needs new owners (who pay too much and have a hard time selling it later on), the WTBTS need new members who recite the same talk over and over.

He states that by learning about the ''four horsemen'' in Revelation 6:1-15.... "You will see clear evidence that you an I are living in the last days.'' He goes on to ask, "When did the ''four horsemen" begin their ride? He answers..."1914"

This talk was probably given by Charles Crazed Russell in 1870s, Judge Slime Rutherfraud in the 1920s, and this young fool in 2018. And, I'm sure this same talk will be given many more decades from now.

Just like for-profit Corporations that strive to stay in business by any means, the WTBTS has been in business since the late 1870s.

How do you stay in business for so long: REPEAT AND RINSE. WAIT FOR MEMBERS TO LEAVE, DIE-OFF OR REMAIN IN, AND WAIT, AND WAIT, AND WAIT......... TAKE IN NEW MEMBERS AND REPEAT THE PROCESS.
